Nina will present the Seven Principles and using the tools described in the book,
The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work by John Gottman and Nan Silver.
The Sound Relationship House Theory, based on the seven principles, has four main areas: the friendship, the positive vs. negative perspective, conflict management for solvable and perpetual problems, and a way to support life’s dreams and form shared meaning. Each of these four areas will be explained along with the tools used to help couples at each level.
Nina Grueneberger, LCSW is a Certified Gottman Method Couples Therapist. She
is also a Board Certified Diplomate through the National Association of Social
Workers. Nina Grueneberger has an extensive background in the field of mental
health for the past 22 years. As a Certified Gottman Therapist, Nina is an
international consultant for therapists completing Gottman Certification Training.
Additionally, she is a Certified Gottman Method Couples Workshop Leader and
trainer for other Gottman Certified Therapists who want to become Couples
Workshop Leaders. Nina also presents Gottman Level I and Level II training for
Therapists. She has a private practice In Sacramento, CA where she practices and
consults using Gottman Method Couples Therapy with a focus on building healthy
relationships between partners, and helping other therapists to skillfully
offer the Gottman Model in their practices as well.
This year our workshop is being cosponsored by UAA and held at the UAA campus. It
will include poster presentations by students as well as a presentation by a graduate student in the MFT
field selected from applications submitted from colleges in the lower 48 states.
